History

Bear was founded by a cooperation of Dynamic Billard and Falcon Cues Ltd. in 1994. The goal was to develop high-quality cues which are technologically perfected and very reasonable. In 1991 Falcon Cues Ltd. was founded in Toronto, Canada. Shortly after the foundation the company produced cues in cooperation with known companies like Joss and Predator. Within a few years the company got a very good reputation in the billiard scene. Today Falcon Cues Ltd. is known for high-quality and nevertheless reasonable cues.

Bear cues combine exactly these features. Bear and Dynamic Billard defined strict guidelines which determine the playing features and the quality for all Bear cues. These cues are handmade with selected materials and top Canadian Maple. Bear cooperates with players from all over the world to develop the cue production, which means to use the latest technology for the current series. Since 2011 for instance, all new Bear series are manufactured with a Uni-Loc Joint to make it possible to use the popular Predator shaft.

The billiard scene rapidly got to know the excellent quality of these cues and that's why many top players came to Bear shortly after the foundation of the brand, although there were many competitors. Francisco Bustamante for example, played with a Bear cue since 1998 and won many  competitions and even got player of the year in 1999. From that point on he remained faithful to Bear and topped his career in 2010 with the championship title in 9-ball. Also Oliver Ortmann, a German top player, convinced himself of the quality of Bear and since 2012 he trusts absolutely in his Bear cue.
