• A robot makes the molds out of resin.
• A first hardening in the oven makes the resin solid. But the resin isn't quite ready yet.
• First sand to make the rough shape of the ball.
• Cutting numbers or other characters into a sphere using a small diamond tool.
• Phenolic resin is used to fill the milled grooves.
• Second oven curing

• A special 5-axis grinding machine brings the ball to its final size.
